The Perth Chung Wah Cultural Festival is a showcase of Western Australian Chinese culture and tradition, set in Burswood Park on the banks of the beautiful Swan River from Sunday 30 November to Saturday 8 December 2024.

Activities for the whole family

Beginning with a spectacular dragon boat race and finishing with a lotus flower ceremony, the festival across two weekends is a great way for everyone to experience ancient Chinese culture.

International Dragon Boat Regatta

The rhythmic beating of drums, the resonating clash of gongs, and the crowd's enthusiastic cheers will create an unforgettable atmosphere, the International Dragon Boat Regatta will be a spectacle not to be missed!


Business Forum

The event will explore the crucial intersection of key sectors, including food and agriculture, tourism, education, and energy transition, focusing on how collaboration can foster innovation and sustainability in WA.

International Lion Dance High Pole Exhibition

The high pole acrobatic lion dance, also called ‘jong’ lion dance or platform lion dance, is a captivating performance featuring skilled performers leaping between elevated 2m high poles. Join us for the spectacular display of daring lion dance moves of the lion.

The Chung Wah Association is proud to be hosting the Perth Chung Wah Cultural Festival to showcase the cultures and traditions of the vibrant WA Chinese Community.

Parking

Free parking is available at Burswood Park.

Free and paid parking is available at Crown Perth.

Public transport

Located on the Armadale/Thornlie train line, Burswood Station is situated on the north eastern end of Burswood Park. It is a 300-metre walk to the Burswood Park Board administration office, or a 15-minute walk through the park to the Swan River foreshore.

A bus stop is located near Bolton Avenue for visitors travelling east on Great Eastern Highway.

Pedestrian and cyclist access to Burswood Park from the city is available via the Causeway or Matagarup Bridge.

Coming by taxi or on-demand transport
